He did. Both JetBlue and Spirit. No call on those yet.

You guys are funny. ODOG1121 posts a facetious remark and your off and running on debate about the quickest route to the mythical pot of gold at Delta Airlines.

I just wanted to get some feedback from the folks who are currently flying for RAH with regards to off the street hiring. I meet all the requirements (ATP, 2700+hrs, current 135 and previous 121) so I applied online. I'm friends with a check airman over there and have a buddy that is a FO in DCA so I know what I am getting myself into. A couple of days ago, however, I received a "thanks but no thanks" e-mail from HR. I'm trying to figure out if you guys are indeed hiring off the street or if you're only hiring the furloughed guys (such as Lynx pilots) that are currently on the street? Any information is greatly appreciated.

Hey, I heard HR changed something in the application window and it sent and automated, "thanks, but no thanks email" to everyone. So I wouldn't lose hope but this is how RAH usually operates.

I wonder if they'll give Midwest pilots preferential interviews.

Yah i got one of those emails on Monday and had a feeling it was an error or something else . Really didn't know what to make of it especially after getting a call from HR offering me the position last week. But now after knowing that everyone else might have got the same email......I'm feeling a bit relieved and much better!

Just food for thought:

If you upgrade in 12 months at Great Lakes, you'd be making $29/hr for your second year and $30/hr your third year and by then have 1000 Turbine PIC. If you go to Republic, you'd make $31 second year and $36 your third year and have no PIC turbine. You probably would make more at Lakes (in year 2 and 3) because they can fly you more and they will abuse the crap out of you. You will starve your first year at Lakes though.

I do know Lakers that went straight to DAL so it is possible. I also know a Skywest CRJ F/O who just went to DAL. That depends on how good your contacts are...

If you are waiting on hr i'd call them. Send them an email too asking if there was an error.
