Now that the bids are in....

Does anyone know when we are going to hear back from them?

Published by 5pm the 10th of March. They will probably be out sooner than that though. And hopefully since the person who does them now doesn't suffer from downs(like the previous one), they will be correct and there will be no need for a retraction....follwed by another award that will be retracted one more time.

Judging by the prelims she did, I don't have much confidence.

When all the senior pilots sit in front of the computer waiting to put their bid in at the last minute. Like an eBay auction. Thus, raping you of any perceived seniority in base.

Example:

Person 1: Hey John how is your line in dtw?

John: No line. I'm on reserve. I got eBay raped on the last bid.
Oddly enough, that didn't really happen on this bid. It was fairly stable the last 12 hours.

Ya I couldn't beleive it. I was sweating it since I was in the bottom half. 2 guys added bids late Sunday night and only 1 chump put his bid in last minute before the close. Totally unlike how IAD unfolded.

It's hard to blame the sit on the sidelines and wait to see what your number holds approach. Without the ability to preference your bid, i.e. I want this if I can hold this seniority or greater, its the most effective strategy to protect your relative seniority. This is something I would love to see implemented before our first vacancy bid with no fences and Express Jet participating. I know many people that were glued to their computers up until the close of the bid, praying that there wasn't a mass of people jumping in. It just seems like there should be a better way. After all its only our life that its effecting.

The results came out. DTW seems more senior than expected. I got what I wanted (CRJ200). What about y'all?

Going down 5% or so on the 700 ATL. I'd be 9% better off on the 200 ATL but oh well.

Where is the list that tells you where you will stand in your base? The email sent out only has the people who got a new award on it. I want to know where I will be.

The April assignments PDF will come out prior to the bid window. That's your best bet, but since the effective dates are in May or even into June, you won't really be able to tell until those months come along.
