I got drastically different results between the first and the second preliminary bid results. I can't really figure out why, then I noticed that the second result doesn't account for the new hires in 3/7 class. Is that the reason? Also, what happened to DTW 700 FO side? It went from super junior and having almost all new hires there to having all 58 filled with people who actually want to go there and no new hires. I'm very confused.

You'll continue to be confused. I would expect A LOT of changes before the final award. Folks way senior are holding out and will either pull their bid, or change at the absolute last minute...happened before...and now it'll likely happen again. Seems like the old DFW collective is also looking to move out of Atlanta in full force...

After tracking the loads both ways since the announcement, for those of you that live in ATL and plan to commute to DTW, you will see a level of hell you never knew existed.....

The last 2 prelims are both bogus/inaccurate. I think the first one was alot closer to accurate than the second. The second was a company wide full reset bid that allowed anyone on any airplane in any base to get first choice if they could hold it. A more accurate prelim is on the way.

Ya the most recent one was quite a mess and very innacurate. And also, if it's anything like IAD was, the last 12 hours prior to the close will get VERY busy.

Urbandictionaryesque definition:

eBay raped (v)
When all the senior pilots sit in front of the computer waiting to put their bid in at the last minute. Like an eBay auction. Thus, raping you of any perceived seniority in base.

Example:

Person 1: Hey John how is your line in dtw?

John: No line. I'm on reserve. I got eBay raped on the last bid.
