+1. Also, I'll never understand why it is such a large percentage of Pilots are willing to be treated as though we aren't human beings. We're people, we deserve the right to be treated as such, if we view something as unfair that's not insubordination. I'm sick of being yelled at like a child, I don't act like one, I'm not one, cut it out. Rant over.

This isn't supposed to be a management sympathizer post, BUT

Having said that, the ADO in MEM is a personal friend of mine and I can easily say he's not a douche! (Well maybe sometimes when asking for "lav dumps") His hands are tied by senior management. It's a tough position to be in guys...imagine being in his shoes for just one second. Give the guy some slack.

Well, I'm not at this company but I've worked for guys in that position who were on opposite sides of the spectrum. I've gotta say that someone in that position should be a shield and a buffer between management and the pilots. It is a tough job and some do it very well and others can't hack it. With all the talk about pilots finding other employment, truth be told, if you can't be a good advocate for the pilots then you find another job.

With all the airlines hiring right now, why don't you guys find another flying job? Pinnacle, ASA, Compass, etc Nothing like lack of pilots to make work rules better.

Lack of pilots wont help seaport make money. Broken model. To expensive to operate turbine aircraft on these legs. Just delaying the inevitable.

"I don't think you pilots understand the real reason we are changing the policy. We know flying an airplane is a very sedentary job, and many pilots will gain weight during their careers. We, your loving management, in an effort to keep your waistline from growing, we have instituted these changes. That's how much we care about our employees!"

I assume that response is from a "company man" sporting buck-teeth and a gold chain.

You're right...lack of pilots won't help them make money. But a lack of pilots might make them understand that their pilots need a livable wage.

You guys better listen up and show some respect. Management may just fire the entire flight department and replace everyone with interns from Kansas State.
