SkyWest pilots make more than Horizon pilots.
The horizon pay scale is higher but they only have 11 bid per year. So if anything this flying went to an airline that pays better.
You guys were getting rid of the 700s anyway you can't make money with them and couldn't get any flying with them. Thats just the way it is, sorry.

Look how happy the SKW guys are on page 5. There are many good people that are going to be on the street and downgraded due to this. Let's show some class. Personally, I feel that Horizon would be in better shape if we were bought by SKW. But as of now it was AAG who brought them in. But really instead of being pricks about this show some class.
BTW when you talk about compensation. The captain that I just finished flying with got a $13,000 bonus check this year. Was yours that big?

Most of us aren't really happy or sad, but when people start saying its a travesty, we're just refusing to apologize or throw Horizon a pity party. There is a big difference.

When jet A is pushing $4.00 a gallon those 700's will be losing money regardless of who's flying them. Maybe Airgroup is a little more foward thinking and wants to dump them before they are worthless.

I guess I have to stress my earlier statement that MOST of us are gracious enough not to celebrate an event that incidentally will cost Horizon jobs. Of course I'm glad for our commuters from the Pac NW, but obviously its definitely a bummer, especially at a company that (I thought) was so stable. Good luck

Also the whole get a union pay will follow argument... How long was pinnacle in negotiations for? Or how long has US airways been operating on a 9/11 concessionary contract?
I'm not planning on quitting btw so if you want to help with supply and demand feel free to take the initiative.
