When do the 11 days off for reserves go into effect? Month of Aug or next bid period? Right now I'm sure all of us still have 10 days off on reserve for Aug.

I think it is only if pref bid gets implemented by 2013.

I'm assuming September, because the contract is effective August 1st, which means planning will start building 11 day off reserve lines for September.

If we don't have pref bid by 8/1/2013, it goes back down to 10 days off

I will try to get an exact answer later today...but I'd imagine that just like people who are due an extra week of vacation now this is an "implementation" question. The union and the company couldn't even talk to each other about implementation stuff until the TA was officially ratified. Now that it is they can start talking about that stuff.

I have no idea how this is going to go down, but it will probably go down the "easiest" way which would be to make Sept the first month with 11 days off. If they have to give 11 days off in Aug then they have to figure out how to distribute those extra days off....

Reserves will get 11 days off at least until Aug 2013. If we have pref bid then then they will continue to get 11 days off through the end of the CBA. If Aug 2013 comes by and we do not have pref bid then Aug 2013 reserve guys will go back down to 10 days off.
