yes i have an idea why. as i said, i was in the july 21st interview class and 1 of 13 got hired. the day before my interview eagle announced it was being sold or will have a spin-off company. they also announced that current eagle pilots and those hired before the middle of october will eventually be given the opportunity to flow into american airlines. they went from a few hundred applications to being flooded with them.
If not, can U pls share what went wrong & why U think so... if U don't mind sharing....
It will help others not to repeat the mistake......

and how do you know they are being "flooded" with resumes? that is just a rumor like all the others. no one knows for sure. a guy after you just stated that they are running out of applicants! not saying that is true either but it just goes to show how informed everyone really is.. i don't think they would have lowered their mins if they anticipated to be flooded with resume's. there has to be another reason why only 1 out of 13 would get the offer. did you feel that your interview had went well?

IMHO i think that eagle is getting a lot more resumes now that they are allowing those hired by mid october to flow into american airlines. its a golden opportunity for those that are already working for them and especially a new hire. imagine just getting hired with the opportunity to flow into a legacy carrier one day. for that reason i think they are now focusing on experience and being much more picky about who they choose

I spent all of last year unemployed and was required to make two contacts a week to receive my benefits. One particular week there weren't any legitimate contacts so I started looking for ghost contacts to apply to. I decided to apply to Eagle to get that weeks UI money. One look at the AirlineApps B.S. and said screw this and blasted an email and resume off to some joker in China off of 350.com
It appears to me that the applicants to Eagle have logged more time filling out AirlineApps.com than actually flying. SCARY stuff!

and that is exactly why eagle has all of the sudden become way more selective. if you get into eagle now you are eligible to transition to american airlines.........do you really think they want to provide just anybody with that golden opportunity? here is your answer, 1 in 13
The answer in your same question is simple, something went wrong with the 12 of you. You'll never know, since they never say why. It might be a traffic ticket, a busted checkride, bad HR answer, bad sim or bad tech interview. Who knows? But they will never tell you.
I've know guys with more that 8,000hrs, with more than 15 yrs of experience in aviation getting their apps declined, didn't passed the interview, or get declined in the Review Board.

Eagle is making a significant investment in anyone they bring in the door so even though they are desperate they won't waste all that money training somebody that might not make it all the way through.

They WERE running out of applicants a couple weeks ago (were down below 100 at the time). I have heard that they really are flooded now. Amazing how quickly they can go from hiring 11/13 in one interview group, and then almost overnight switch to 1/13... They still need to hire alot this year and a bunch in 2012 so hopefully they dont look over a lot of good applicants....Its been known to happen in recent times....

Yeah, God forbid you should actually get a job that you had to fill out a real application. You sir, are a prime example if why many of us are fed up with Govt programs. You have the ability to work, but obviously choose to milk the system instead. Unemployed with nothing to do and can't be bothered to even fill out a job application? You are a disgrace.

Got the pre-offer over a week ago. Just waiting on the board. Looks like I'll be waiting till next week though. Still need my AZ letter of no record. They royally screwed up and sent me a packet for a revocation of a suspended license, and I've never had an AZ license. The wait continues.
