People, people, people... Looser is spelled Loser. When you're saying "you are" its-you're, "they are" is-they're. Not being a "tool bag" just trying to help out. We're "we are" pilots, and need to seem like we're semi-educated.

I am just telling you what I was told by the union reps. they said pilots who are displaced can go anywhere their seniority can hold. with or with out fences. the email said the same thing with no mention of fences either. it said exactly what i said. if thats not the case then what happens if we get to a point of furloughing? are we going to furlough out of seniority to maintain the fences? our jcba doesn't allow that.
A displaced pilot may go to anywhere he is senior to the junior guy in that position. The quota does apply but not in the way it seems to be contemplated in earlier posts. The quotas will apply to who gets in and potentially who gets bumped out.
If the quota is not met a pilot displacing into that position may bump the junior guy of the same pre-merger airline even though someone from the other airline is the most junior pilot. This is a fairly unlikely scenario, but most of the talk here is theoretical anyway.
In other words you can displace into any position in which you are senior to the junior pilot. If quotas are in play, you may displace into any position in which you are senior to the most junior person on your side of the "fence".
