Seniority plays a huge factor in QOL, one class could mean the difference between sitting at home proffering for trips and occasionally doing airport STBY or sitting at the airport with no flying for a few months. Also could mean holding a line sooner, I know guys that one class behind me and haven't help a line while I have been a line holder for 8 months. But you might have other things that play a role, just wanted to share the information. If it for more time to prepare for class, don't take me wrong then you have no business showing up. All you need to show up is knowing how and aircraft works, basic flying principles and knowing instruments... Everything else will be covered during ground school.
Good info. I'm very excited either way. I'm in the process of selling our house and would like to get that all squared away before I go so I dont have to deal with it while I'm devoting myself to AE. |
