Mason your holier than thou mentality makes you look extremely ignorant. As a student most people do not know if they are really ready and rely on their instructor's opinion/direction. Plain and simple, if you think everyone should have a perfect record you are an idiot and no airline would ever be staffed if you had to carry a crimson A with you for one or two check ride busts.

Nope, don't think that. Not everyone will have a perfect record. Likewise, not everyone should be hired simply because they made it to 500/50 without killing themselves.

So it's just all or nothing. No matter what?

You are drawing these ridiculous lines in the sand that I honestly think the FAA would think are unfair. We get it, you passed all your checks and are the best pilot in the world and should be the only airline pilot in existence.

Your "if you've failed a checkride, you are a liability and the pax will probably all die" statements are bs. You know it, you just don't have the decision making skills to admit you're wrong.

Apply to Colgan. They like guys with busts.

You will not get the call, because you are short on multi time. Build 9 more hrs of multi time and you might get the call. I personally don't think that 2 busts automatically disqualifies you. Most pilots fail once or twice in their training. Good Luck.

Mason your a dumb a**....you will bust a ride one day. Even if you are prepared and completely ready, you can and will still bust...Its not just those people that go into an oral unprepaired that bust the ride. These things are so subjective.

Fly for fun, and find another profession. Do the rest of us, and the potential passengers, that favor.

This guy is coming on here to ask for advice and you are shooting him down. You have a terrible attitude, I would rather fly with someone lacking skills then sit next to your royal know it all ***. You do the rest of us a favor and Do not fly.

Be yourself, the guys doing your interview are pilots (most are FOs). They are not goig to set you up. They will test your knowledge (technical). Either you know basic regs and charts or you don't. They will test your basic instrument flying skills, can you learn and follow simple procedure and instucrions that you will be given and will see if you can fly in a multi crew environment (CRM). Lastly they will ask questions about you and get your opinion on certain things, they are looking to see how you would handle different situations and to see if you are someone who they would enjoy working with. Fly safe, demonstrate proficiency and be your self!!!
