Its done. Reconcile yourselves to it and move on. Playing the part of a martyr won't accomplish anything. In the grand scheme of airline integrations, this is far less egregious than most are making it out to be.

I love it when people come in commanding others to shut up or whatever. It's far from done.. suggesting resignation only makes me think that you have something to gain by it.

I think the point he was trying to make was that whining and moaning about this like a bunch of impotent jerks on an internet forum isn't going to change anything. It happened. It is happening. Nothing anyone says or does, short of quitting is going to change that. But if it makes you feel better to get angry and call other people names anonymously then go right ahead.

Skywest is hiring and look to be one of the better regionals. Any input is appreciated.
Self entitlement?

Seniority is everything in this industry, I'm assuming you were displaced to the saab? There will be plenty of movement in the future, but if you would like to lose your accrued seniority help yourself man. Sidesteps are a recipe for disaster in this game. Best of luck in whatever you decide on, but you can't just turn the other cheek each time the industry takes a dump on you man. Make sure you're making the move for all the right reasons before you decide to dump your 9E number.

Where else are they going to go?

And XJ and 9E fences are full, that's why Colgan guys are able to bid 900 captain and 200 captain positions.

Trust me, 9E did not get hosed in this SLI, the guys being displaced just had made captain prior to the SLI coming out, most of the XJ guys coming over to 9E have many many more years of service than the 9E guy above them in their new position.
Very true statement. I have MANY PNCL guys hired 4 years after me, ahead of me on the list and I'm an 11 year guy.

But just remember the grass is not alway greener , these are regionals we are talking about , things do shift quite a lot out of no where , look at go jets getting ASA aircraft !!!! Chuck Norris couldn"t have seen that one coming.

Unless you live in one of there bases I dont see a good enough reason to pull the plug just quite yet. Keep in mind we are still loosing people. I flew with a few captains last month who are hired by Fedex, just waiting on class dates, as of now they want to hire 500 and have only hired 88 , ( as of 15 days ago) you know with the good old guys club in Memphis we will loose a lot more to them. We have what some 190 mesaba flow through to delta when ever they may hire next for those who take it, Plus I jut spoke with a friend ground instructor 4 days ago in memphis and he said 9 E is hiring 18 every two weeks . So you ll even have more coming under neath you.

No one has the crystal ball roll your dice and pray that you made the right call.

Good luck which ever you choose .

And a couple years back ASA getting Comair and ex-Freedom airplanes or SkyWest getting Horizon airplanes
