no. From what I understand they do the vacancy first. Look at everyones bids and put them where they want in the positions that are open. The people left in those bases that are closing are then "displaced" to what their seniority can hold starting at the bottom of the list. Thats why he told you to keep boston first. If you put msp first and you can hold it then you will just go there under the vacancy and not a displacement.

You should see the schedules on the Saab.....

True, but you don't have to worry about if you can get displaced to somewhere better, you know you are. I could see myself getting stuck as one of the last couple 900 CA with the abhorrent Q.O.L. to go with it. I don't want to be seatlocked into an F.O. position. If I go there it needs to be by displacement.

Very true, I have been dealing with that for the last year and a half and it's been downright horrible.

-For new hires, how long does the seat lock last?
-Do CRJ pilots operate the CRJ2s and CRJ9s simultaneously, or are those aircraft considered separate equipment such as the Saab is to the Q?

One year. I'm not certain but I think it's off the date you pass your initial checkride, not date of hire.

Separate equipment.

Incorrect. It is date of hire -

b. A First Officer may not be awarded a change in Category (status and/or
equipment) until:

i. Upgrade to Captain; or

ii. One (1) year after date of hire, to attain another First Officer
position.

It would be nice if they had a practice award and published the results. Does anyone know when Colgan is getting PBS?
