the highly suspect part of the post or the manual part?
Had to delete it, I knew I was right but someone else (cough cough) would have said otherwise and I have better things to do than argue penile lengths....thanks for your (air)support

I hope they are. Suker and Ericson should never have anything to do with ALPA ever again. Ericson sucked our MEC funds dry and for what......nothing. We will be much better off without them in charge.

Well, the only thing I've seen from the XJ MEC since this whole merger thing is.....well, nothing. Every time the company has wanted give....it's happened. During contract negotiations, all we heard from that side was "Our MEC wouldn't stand for that. Just you wait." Well, it's put up or shut up time. So, far, it's like living in France. Every time there's a fight, we just give more ground. It's a damn good thing the company decided on their own to do the payroll stuff by hand. That was all supposed to be over and done with in Sept. No dice on that, and no pressure from the union side (any of the three) to make it happen. The company gives a "software issue" excuse, and I guess that's good enough for anything that involves a computer.

In this case do you have any reason to believe or been given any evidence to suggest it's not a software issue? I am pretty sure the union guys know a hell of a lot more about what is happening than you do. What is the remedy you suggest if the union grieves this issue? Relax. This award is on a scale much larger than they have ever seen. That said it would be nice to see something from the union.
Here's my (our) point of view....I completely believe this is an innocent, non-planned computer issue. We get alot of those here. I don't care how long it takes to remedy. But if this happened 8 months ago, only to 9e, some of the 5% haters would have still stepped in and said "our MEC wouldn't let that happen! We would have made them test it first, or they would have a huge penalty! it WOULD be out by deadline!" or something of the sorts. It's the hypocrisy that sucks, not the conspiracy of why the award isn't out.
