But you're going to have to be rather senior if you want to stay... Depending on how many senior guys want to stay that is.

Take it for what its worth(nothing), but I heard Pinnacle is planning on hiring 700 pilots...I don't know where there going to find even a hundred.

Bid where you WANT to end up.
The problem is I have no idea where that is now.... I want to remain a captain but at worst be a top reserve/high speed line holder. I am not sure if that is possible now with all the closings. I absolutly DON'T want to end up at the very bottom any longer in any position. But how can I possibly predict any of this if there is so much adjusting all done in one award. If I guess wrong I could be looking at another couple years as a bottom reserve or a missed opportunity to be a lineholding captain. I would rather spend the next 6 months in training buying the time needed to see where the dust settles to know where to bid to.

Sounds a little high....

I heard 90 something new CA positions, and 7 month MCB. That would be May-ish before the next Vacancy/Realignment. Better bid what you want, because you may be there awhile.

So where is it? Where's the realignment/vacancy posting? It's getting kinda late, don't you think?

Bid to FO. Then you wont be at the bottom.

I guess it needs to sink in that you were a junior captain before, and you will remain a junior captain.

If you want a good schedule, go back to the right seat.

I'm in new hire class right now here are a few truths...

yes they are still hiring, planned well through June of 2012, number is still unknown everywhere from 200-500.

FROM NOW ON...NEW HIRES WILL ALWAYS GO TO THE SAAB, if you get hired at pinnacle or mesaba or colgan...you're going to the Saab. Which means you have to have 1000/100 as minimums, they're not moving on this.

So for all those people that were hired between 250-~1000 hrs...they said they will probably be dropped from the pool, unless they approve you for colgan saab class(example: you have 900TT and 300+multi with an ATP written)

that's all...systems start monday!

and FTR there is 14 new hires and 5 mesaba Saab instructors switching over to the Colgan cert. all in the current class
