If you would have stayed non-union, CJC pilots would have, most likely, been stapled to the bottom of a combined 9E/XJ seniority list.
Pure speculation. The only thing CJC pilots brought to the table were the worst pay rates and work rules. CJC pilots received a windfall, both in the seniority integration and the combined Pinnacolaba contract.
Pre merger career expectations for CJC pilots did not include jets. Bloch effectively fenced off all current CJC aircraft CA positions to CJC pilots, while, at the same time, allowing CJC pilots to fill jet CA slots. Fences should work both ways.
I believe there is a mechanism in the Bloch award that allows it to be challenged. It needs to be challenged on the grounds it violates ALPA merger policy.

1) Instead of making it REALLY messy, the CJC Pilots could have stayed nonunion and the growth would have been funneled our way anyway and y'all would have been whipsawed against us making it really really really ugly. But we stood up for what was wrong; many of us were threatened by management goons for organizing, and worked to raise the bar.
3) From my understanding, those that were displaced out of the CRJ-200 Captain seat COULD have remained a Captain at the company if their pref bids had Q400 Captain in EWR. But a lot of those who were displaced didn't have that on their bid. Once again, not the CJC Pilots problem. If that wasn't communicated to the PCL Pilots to bid everything 'just in case', not the CJC Pilots problem.

Well then they should've spent more time reviewing their bid pref priorities and had them in proper order. Shy, "get over it" all this complaining isn't going to change anything. So, there's nothing left to do but to "get over it" and stop complaining. Like I said earlier, if you don't like it you can leave. No one is forcing you to stay.
