Pinacolaba D-Day Round 2
#801
Still, it comes down to making your argument in front of the judge and you better sell it if you want him to buy it. It is clear that Bloch did not "buy" what the Pinnacle committee was selling. The "staple job" probably wasn't the best approach to take and because that strategy failed it prevented Bloch from hearing another angle from the PCL side.
I honestly do not see how Bloch could have not gone with DOH if PCL would have went with the MSA proposal for DOH, 2200 pilots vs 450 pilots. Again, it seems that the PCL strategy was flawed with wanting to battle against MSA instead of working together

No matter what happens the Colgan pilots always are going to get the blame for everything bad. First, join ALPA or you guys suck....Second work toward a single contract or you guys really suck...Third, demand to have an integrated seniority list or you guys suck even more...Now, if you won't admit that the airlines woes are Colgan Air pilot's fault then you might as well quit and let us have all your routes, slots and airplanes. This kind of rhetoric has been going on since January 21st 2007, and ultimately it is petty, whiny, immature and just plain stupid on those that perpetuate it those ill informed or just plain stupid enough to buy into it. This is not flamebait...on the contrary, it is the SOLE opinion of one pilot that is just tired of listening to everything from union to 3407 fallout.
In the final analysis this merger and integration is and will continue to be a painful process for many of us. The time has really come to stop the corporate bias and angst being generated by a few. The time has truly come to stop looking overour shoulders, blaming each other and get on with the business of WORK. There are no guaratees in life, sorry to break the bad news to you...So, keep blaming the hapless Colgan pilots flying your shiny jet to some crappy little town near you in the not too distant future...

I will say that if indeed in the next 6 months or so a good number new Q's are added to the fleet, having the growth available to all three pilots groups will really help smooth things over with the whole Colgan winning the lottery thing. Yeah they may have gained at our expense, but with new Q's the tables would be turned, the quotas obliterated, and everything can move forward on a strictly seniority basis.
