Enjoy your time off while you can because it's not going to last, Mr. Displacement is knocking at your door and he's angry.

Nope. I don't let it get that far. After giving suggestions when I see they are getting behind the A/C and can't recover, I say "My controls." They know when they F it up. We talk about it. They learn. It's why they pay us more to wear that extra stripe.

We all have four stripes, some gold, some black :D

B00sted 09-22-2011 09:23 PM

whats four stripes mean?

Ok guys. Number 1 I never said I was hot sh*t. All I said was right now you dont have to be real senior to get days off.

Yes I know I'm probably going to
be back on reserve by the time all of this is over.

How the hell do you know if I can fly a visual or not? Have I ever flown with you? Do you even know who I am?

I will sell you an application that will tell you of new open time within 3 minutes of it being released, all I want is 5% of your premium pay per trip you pick up. I'm not joking either, get in now before all the junior people get in before you and steal your open time. I'm only allowing 10 people per seat in on this once of a lifetime opportunity. You'll never again miss an open time trip of a lifetime while someone junior to you picks up your $3,000 trip. PM for more details.

How does someone senior bidding to work as little as possible, while you admit you bid max credit, force you into a 11 day off line? you do that to yourself. You sound like an entitlement kid who hates the seniority system unless it benefits you...
And when did anyone say that they were po'd because a JR guy "stole" their open time? What fantasy world are you coming from, seriously?:rolleyes:

Smart post. Let everyone senior to you know how good things are.

I think by virtue of the fact that you claim to be a 2/28/11 hire which means you've probably been on the line at most 4-5 months, the odds of you being able to "walk the walk" are not in your favor and you probably still have a lot to learn. But maybe you are a true "Top Gun", that rare exception of a noob who, when dumped off by approach at 9000 feet on a weird angle to the downwind, can flawlessly execute a superb visual approach that would make Chuck Yeager himself weep in awe of your aviation skills.

You are a regional first officer. Therefore, by default, you cannot.

Yeah...because that fourth stripe makes you a visual approach god. I have never, in my 5.5 years in the right seat seen a CA mess up a visual one way or another. Riiiiggghhttt...

In the interest of full disclosure, I've effed up whether I was PIC or SIC. I just have waaaaaay more SIC time :D
