LogTen Pro is Awesome! I just uploaded 14 years of flying from an Excel spreadsheet. The customer service is awesome. Very nice tools to figure out all the different types of hours totals that airlines want for applications.
I have a 5 year old, used Macbook Pro w/Lion that I use it on. Works great! The only down side is I will have to pay additional money to add it to my iPad. I still think it's worth it!

Out of those who use electronic logbooks, how many keep their paper ones up to date? I put all my old flights (leg by leg) into the electronic version and the old paper ones just gather dust these days. I even brought just the iPad with LogTen on it to the type ride and only had a couple questions on how to navigate it.

What are some examples of companies that want a written logbook? How is a signed print off any different than a signed written logbook (other than the print version likely has no errors compared to a written logbook)?

I've used both LogTen Pro and Logbook Pro--both are good. To me, LogTen's interface, syncing, and reports are what set it ahead of Logbook Pro.
What I haven't found (yet) is a binder that doesn't look like some godawful high school arts and crafts project. All of the binders I've seen are cheap leather, with tacky gold trim; it more or less looks like someone went to Staples, bought a $35 chart case, cut it up, and turned it into an electronic logbook binder.
The only binder that ever caught my eye was the NC Old World binder which, for whatever reason, they opted to stop producing.
Throw some 35/40lb eggshell/tan paper in the printer, get Kinkos to cut and punch the paper, and it's a done deal.
I almost threw up.

LogbookPro impressed the folks at B6.
He's applying to Delta. Finally realized Blue isn't a final career stop either. Regional style retirement and almost worthless health insurance. With no union on property it really is mercy of management who have been giving themselves 24% to 66% raises.

From LogTen Pro, I printed mine on my HP printer (8.5 x 11)in fastdraft mode... double sided. I made a homemade binder using a couple of heavy duty opaque plastic book covers and two hole punch and fastening devices from office max. I have about 10-15$ invested in paper, ink, and misc materials. I thought it turned out pretty nice. Much better than sorting through 3 of my original logbooks that are NOT very neat and organized. I used it for an interview. No questions were asked.

I'm wondering this too. A few years ago, Emirates had no problem at all with a hard copy of my e-log (in fact, they seemed to prefer it along with the summary I provided them).

Are you guys that are updating several years worth of flights doing it all or just one big entry of what you have now? If you do it from day one and notice errors, how do you notate that in your paper log? Just where you left off put a note saying updated throughout and here is new times?

I found this at flybystore. Its 100% leather and looks really sharp. I like how it looks like the Jeppesend Pro Logbook!
