Getting Hired
Well I have been sending out resumes with no feedback yet. I have over 700 TT with 110 multi and CFII. I think I am competitive with some of these regionals. I was just wondering how often you guys sent in your resume to these employers. Also, is Air Whisky hiring lower time guys or are they sticking to their mins? I am getting tired of no flying because there aren't many students around right now. Any suggestions? Which regional do you recommend??... I really don't care where I move to.

How recent is your flight time? A lot of places want to see a fair amount of flight time (especially multi and instrument time) in the last 6-12 mos. That shows that you are an active priofessional and probably will have a higher chance at suceeding in training than someone with less recent experience. I know XJT, for one, values recency of experience over shear number of hours.
My advice would be to get your MEI, move to some place where you can build time quickly, like a busy FBO near a large city. If you are building a lot of time and still not hearing much, try companies like Airnet, Ram Air or Ameriflight. They are always hiring, you will build multi and instrument time very quickly and all airlines love a freight dog. Plus you will become one hell of a pilot and accumulate some awesome stories. Some of the most interesting guys I have met in this business were, or still are, freight dogs.

Yeah...I don't want to spend anymore money. I have plenty of actual and simulated time. I guess I'll just sit back and wait till I hear from someone. I was getting decent time but the student load has started dropping. It seems like most people dont hear back for more than 4 weeks.
