As of right now, all new hires are going to the Colgan side so there is no chance to hold ATL as a new hire. Things can change or you can bid over to ATL after your year seat lock.
Along those lines, how hard is it to hold the IAD domicile for Colgan new guys? |

It's doable. But some won't allow it for stocks already less than $3. Put option, with the right strike price, is something you can make good dough on provided you are absolutely sure the stock is about to tank. Otherwise, you're left with 0.

Thanks for that. Also don't mean to TJ, but—

As for the name calling haters and the people too immature to have a conversation, there was nothing wrong with my post.
PinnaColaba Bankruptcy soon -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Time to short the stock! Expect some news before the month (year) ends! This was the news: The Memphis-based airline holding company is seeking modifications to its agreements with its mainline airline partners, equipment lessors, debt holders, real property lessors and vendors. Pinnacle Airlines (NASDAQ: PNCL) will also seek to work with its pilots and other employees, both union and non-union, to reduce labor costs. |
ShyGuy, go on and apply to Go Jet now, before the line forms after this place shuts its doors. You'll never see the left seat here, this ship is sinking

So what are people actually predicting here? Furloughs? Fleet reductions? Or is this turly just reorganizing management, etc.
Its doubtful there will be pilot furloughs as we are still short around 70 pilots and there are classes planned for the Colgan/Mesaba side until May at least. There will likely be layoffs in management, support, and administration as we are still running the support staff for three airlines, when we only need to staff two, and depending on how we get restructured probably one. Today 6 Vice President positions were eliminated, and 6 other VP positions will be consolidated into 3 positions (that's 9 VPs that got axed today for those of you in Rio Linda). The consultants hired today will renegotiate our leases, real estate contracts (wonder how long we'll still be downtown), vendor contracts, and labor contracts. ALPA will probably be asked for concessions relating to work rules and amendments to the SLI to reduce training costs. They will also scrub the company from top to bottom to eliminate duplication, excessive management positions, and excessive spending. Personally I think we will end up a stronger company after this and you will not recognize any of these companies when this is done, but the end product will strongly resemble Mesaba. We will likely be on one certificate, HQ will be someplace other than downtown Memphis, and there will be some kind of agreement to slow down the SLI to reduce training costs. |
Vote no!!!!

Anybody who has been working at Nonconnah for the last year and at One Commerce Square in the last few months can't be surprised by this. The duplication in this company is astounding right now. All that happened today is Menke announced that the mess Uncle Phil left for him is so bad that he has to hire outside consultants to help him restructure the company. Menke all but predicted this in his conference call on November 3.

I hope the f-bomb doesn't show up here, but never underestimate the ability of airlines to rapidly increase the flow of crud coming downhill. Best of luck folks.
