Also to the guy asking if Higney's character was in question, I say yes. He may have helped you with problems, but that was his job as a rep. While he was a rep he also threatened another ALPA pilots job. ("it would would be too bad if he failed a PC")... pretty despicable if you ask me.

yeah... he signs his PBS e-mails as "captain" but he's not actually qualified as a captain (awarded, but hasn't gone to training because of PBS buyout).

As for the last thing you mention, I am not personally familiar. I just know in my experience between work and organizations, being the head of something means making tough decisions whilst being subject to the peanut gallery. I fired a guy once, and several people thought/still think I am an a hole. I know I made the right decision, and cam empathize with being in a tough position.
In small communities, aviation being one, there are egos and people who want retribution for perceived injustices. I hope all involved are being as unbiased and objective as possible, respecting others' responsibilities.

I just want to know where this stuff comes from. I'm doing my yearly PC/Line Check/RGT next month. It would have been nice to know if I wasn't "qualified" for the last 11 months and 300+ hours in the left seat.

15 more Qs? More like 0 Qs and 0 Saabs after April! I should still be okay and be a FO since I'm on the RJ side. Imagine the massive amounts of displacements and training events! Concessions and bankruptcy, here we come.
