Let's wait and see if the judge "forbids" Mesaba labor to strike like was done with the NWA flight attendants.
ALPA and the other Mesaba unions can't do jack when the judiciary forces labor to abide by the RLA but throws it out for management.

In fact what action do you specify that ALPA has taken?
They say that if the company does not honor the contract which the company signed, they will not work. A reasonable proposition.
If my tenant decides not to pay rent, or pay a unilaterally lowered amount despite our signed contract, I will be entirely within my rights to evict him.
Or perhaps you are asserting that a Unionized work force is bad for the Stakeholders... which is moronic.
What is really bad for Mesaba is incompetent upper management. Two or three idiots at the top will bring a company down a thousand times faster than a hundred at the bottom.

"The only way that Mesaba is going to be able to pull out of this mess is to get a deal done," Kris Pierson, a pilots union spokesman, said ahead of the hearing. "Imposed terms will not work for the labor groups at Mesaba, whether there's a strike injunction or not."

We all know it is easy to say/feel that way in the heat of the moment. When it comes right down to quitting and trying to find another job, the "immediate" might become more loosely defined.

Actually ALPA at Mesaba is one of the finest examples of union bargining at work. The fact that so many people are willing to call it quits says nothing of ALPA, but rather how managment has driven that company into the ground.
Just got off the phone with a good friend that is one of the strike center coordinators. Sounds to me like the union is doing it's very best to protect the contract.
