I look at my buddys from college, and no one is making even close to what I am, I went to Penn State.

You guys dont realize the US economy sucks, and this country is so in debt that the US dollar is slowly crumbling, just wait till its no longer the worlds reserve currency. That mixed with baby boomers unable to retire, THERE ARE NO JOBS FOR SOMEONE IN THEIR 20s!!!

Being a pilot is great in that regard.

Next you'll say GoJets is a great opportunity...

You should have added "like" in there a couple of times.

MAYBE you'll make $40-$50k in 5 years. Maybe you'll be on your third airline starting over at $21k/yr...

...or get furloughed multiple times, only to start over at the bottom of the pay scale each time REGARDLESS of your experience...

Where as a pilot, you get to sleep in a hotel, and never sleep.

WHAT'S YOUR POINT?!

I made over 30k in my first 12 months at Eagle. I also worked the contract and averaged 15 days off and 80hours/month in actual flying. Not bad for being in my early 20s.

Good on you! Give us a progress report at the 5, 10, and 15 yr mark...

What did you pay for your education? That doesn't sound that good for someone in their early twenties. Everyone I went to college with made at least that. My computer friends were all making at least 50k and some were also getting 100k stock options. What did you make in this last year at Eagle? What are your career progression possibilities looking like?

Not true! My brother spent less than a Riddler on his education, and makes almost 500k yearly. He also get to set his own hours, and gets 6 weeks of paid vacation a year, as an attorney!

Glad to see that they are raising your pay. Is this really a result of them being unable to fill classes? If so, this is only the beginning..-wait until people start leaving because of age 65.
