He's the dude who made a passenger briefing over the PA about "keeping seatbelts tight because the brakes on the plane were like the brakes on his corvette" LOL...

...oh, he's also the dude that got busted by colleagues walking around Dulles with four stripes when he was an FO.

This guy probably looks in the mirror everyday and speaks quotes from the most interesting man in the world while holding his Dos Equis!
Is that true he made a PA comparing the brakes to that of his "corvette"? Woooow.

Honest question, is it also true that GoJets is barred from joining ALPA?

this does not help ALPAs fight to try and keep the program full funded.

As for the main thread topic, it was stupidity and ego along with other issues for this pilot. However, including the fact that he was a "GoJet" pilot was completely irrelevant to the topic at hand. The OP used it to smear against GoJets, and it wasn't necessary.

No, it's not true. Not at all. GoJet chose IBT during their conception vs ALPA because of seniority and integration issues with TSA.

ALPA was instrumental in helping furloughed United pilots secure jobs at G7 in 2008/2009. Why would the United MEC recommend their pilots find refuge at an airline they "barred"?

I agree 100% People love to hate GoJet. Every pilot has the need to feel like they are superior to someone else. GoJet is an easy scapegoat for every disgruntled pilot to point their finger and say "that guy."

My point:

What an idiot. This is almost as bad as the TSA screener in Cincinnati that was calling himself a Federal Agent. This will just give the administration more ammo to use to kill the FFDO program......

Exactly. The original GoJet stigma is (or should be) gone. Today, it's a crappy regional just like any other. And all those who state you will hinder your career by going to GoJets are just full of it. Majority of the legacy carriers aren't interested in your pi$$ing matches at the regionals, and the legacy HR doesn't care either. The only way you could be hurt is if a original TSA pilot ends up on the hiring board at a legacy, that won't happen for quite some time and the chances of that happening to someone are pretty remote.
