Default RAH $5000 Signing Bonus

Well you heard it here first, $5000 signing bonus to any FO joining RAH after April 2nd, and $500 to any employee that refers a qualified First Officer...

Discuss.

PDT did the same thing in 2007 and the union quickly put an end to it citing the fact that it bumped year 1 pay past year 2 pay.

Hopefully the union has already filed for injunction to prevent the company from changing status quo.

RAH (and AWAC and a bunch of other regionals) did this back in 2006/2007, right?

Please tell me this is a joke, where is your official source! I feel like crying, you guys are either hurting really bad for new hires to keep the flying you have or you are gathering to get more flying....

Ok, I am done crying and cooler heads prevail.

If they would have increased their FO pay by $5 it would have cost the company $4,500 on first year per new hire and then include the rest of the pilots who are on property gaining a raise. By offering $5,000 sign inn bonus it saves the company a ton of money and it sounds like new hires are getting allot of money but in reality shortly after the 12th month they will start loosing money. Oh BB, you are a genius! Ok, maybe not! Does he think new hires are this stupid (Ok maybe), by going to EXJ they would be making this money up in around 10 months.

*you will also be taxed around 10% more for the $5,000 than you will for the first year pay increase at another airline so that's $500 lost as well!
