Aren't you a NURP at UPS? Adults are talking here - go find a GoJet thread to lock up.

Don't you have your own problems to deal with? It was a play on the LONG time joke in the industry. I think Eaglefly is looking for you.

United isn't going to finance the planes and they aren't going to pay a rate where a company can make a profit on them. They are gone, not coming back. They are probably planning on scope concessions from their pilots so they don't need them or they have some other plan. This industry is a joke. It is better for all of us if the regionals collapse. It sucks now but think longterm.

Are you divorced yet too? If not...then you still have a ways to go. ;)

The guy was joking, man. You know that joke about BKs, furloughs, and getting divorced? Yeah....that one.

TBucket 04-02-2012 11:46 AM

I hope this somehow works out for you guys. I share a crashpad with a bunch of colgan guys and they're all stand-up dudes. Hopefully it (somehow) doesn't turn out to be as bad as it looks.

What a crappy way to wake up this morning!

Best of luck to all involved!

Right?

If an FA doesn't like my attitude, but the ship is sinking and PNCL is worried about the sail right now. I am only looking out for what is best for my myself and my family. Sorry I don't have extra cash laying around to feel sorry for them.

OK so you may not have to pay their bills, but fact of the matter is that they are still coworkers of yours that are going to get screwed worse. You should care about the FA contract. Even if you really do only care about yourself then this one reason I'm about to say should make you care about the FA contract. If the company is willing to try the best to throw away the FA contract then whats to say they will not throw away the pilot contract.

I hate to say this but everything that is going to happen (BK, contract going away, etc.) has already been decided by SM/BoD/Delta. Unfortunately, this will get worse before it gets better.

Menke and everyone on the other end of that phone call are the winners.

I can't even begin to imagine the "stay bonuses" they will get once the finish scalping the company.

Hopefully the money is enough to take poor poor Menke's family out of "limbo"

It's your attitude of screw the FAs and their contract, I'm only in it for me, money, and what's best for my family. These are the same reasons a scab makes before screwing his colleagues.

I think you're confusing personal welfare with opportunistic douchebaggery.

This is the issue with text based media...emotions don't come through 100% of the time.

I'm sure the guy is legit worried about paying the bills and not thinking about screwing people over for personal gain.

Completely agree!!!

We would be in jail if we threatened operations...why not management?

Because he is not covered by a CBA. Sean could probably get a senior mgmt job at any company and make more money... I'd probably need $200k more to live in Memphis too..

Sorry to see this for all you guys / gals at Pinnacle - Pilots, FA, ... and all!
Though there is nothing funny about any of this - perhaps this link that was on Eagle Life will also fit with the crap your management pulled...

Funny, I happen to know a bunch of military pilots...there's a lot fewer of them than there used to be, and a significant percentage (at least a majority) have no interest in airlines after watching the slow motion train wreck over the last decade. They also see reserve guys taking active military orders to escape the airlines. The military won't be solving the airline's manpower issues.

This is very inaccurate. I know a bunch of active and guard - reserve military pilots and I don't know a single one who isn't gunning for the airlines. They are standing in line waiting for Delta, SWA, FedEx, UPS to hire them.

For someone who isn't completely up to date with the goings on at Pinnacle, what is the status of Mesaba? I thought Colgan was going to get folded into Mesaba and it was going to be just Pinnacle flying jets and Mesaba flying props. Does this BK mean that there won't be any props left at Pinnacle?
