Rather see the place burn to the ground before agreeing to concessions.

I'd consider voting on concessions if it's in the best interest of the company.

I edited before I saw your reply, I did intend to tone it down. Sorry I didn't get there fast enough.

I'm not giving up. I just wish luck will turn my way soon.

This is exactly why airlines need to die. Management should be OUT ON THE STREET. Walk away...no, RUN AWAY.

Does anyone know where to find or what the Dispute Resolution Letter referenced in the latest hotline email is all about? I looked through the ALPA website and couldn't find it. Are we even allowed to see it?

Before you come to his defense, look at at his overly underwhelming resume, one covered with his own tears. He references Frontier in a majority of his bullish** "Messages from Sean." While the F9 guys may defend, they are in no better position today than when he took the helm. The only difference is they drank the coolaide and willingly gave up pay, retirement, benefits etc. while supporting the man that stole from each and every employee. Now he brings his BS show to Pinnacle and fails miserably. True he may not have been handed a perfect situation, but what business professional of his supposed stature accepts a position without due diligence. He is destructive at best and will be instrumental in the collapse of 9E; tearfully defending his raise as he aggressively attacks his undeserving employees' wages, work rules, benefits, and 401Ks- all while thousands of families are crippled is disgusting. Sean Menke is what is wrong with this industry and stands as a symbol of incapable management.
No, he's just joining the growing momentum of flat-out BUSTING UNIONS in the airline industry. It's underway at AA and now here. If successful, expect it to spread. These executives are using the corporate-friendly legal environment to declare war on unionization.

The question is how far will the airline pilot profession let it go. They WILL attempt to push the boundary as far as pilots will let it. We shall see how far we let them do it.

You're looking at this the wrong way. They are TESTING you and see themselves just like the test pilots of the 1950's pushing the envelope. YOU are the airplane and decide just where those limts are.

Hallelujah!!!!

Liquidate the place folks! There ain't nothing for any single one of us to gain by Pinnacle (i mean Mesaba) staying afloat. Burn it, liquidate it, and come back later when its more decent of a work place.

Set an example, and the rest will follow!
108 isn't 87% of the pilot group. It's probably those on the bottom of the seniority list who are getting furloughed and won't have a job regardless. The pilots will NEVER shut this place down. Too many people with excuses, i.e. "My spouse makes the money", or "I'm a trust fund baby and don't need the paycheck", or "I can afford a paycut, I'm still living with my parents", etc, etc, etc...

Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of hard workers and great people in this company/industry...but for those reasons I've listed above (and many more), there will never be true solidarity within a company, let alone the industry. It's what keeps two-bit, Micky Mouse operations like Pinnacle afloat.

True. It's like when we had those "99%" stickers in 2008 and yet were the #1 ontime performing regional every quarter.

I am a long way from that happening, I vote to shut the doors rather than accept more industry damaging cuts. Unfortunately we won't get the chance to have that vote.
Just remember these things when you vote for the lawmakers that rig the rules against the general populace. It's time to show them ALL what unemployment is all about.

Seems to me that the kind of person you described above would be more likely to strike or have a "burn it down" mentality. The guys who would miss a mortgage payment after one missed paycheck could be too scared to put the screws to the company (in theory).
