Your response to my comments simply reinforce everything I said. The thing is i genuinely feel bad for you. You can say that you are happy with the way things have panned out for you, that is obviously a complete lie. You would be the guy that is a complete downer to be around. I'm not going to sit here and generalize and analyze your personality, but all of us that read your posts can see right through you. Others respond your negativity by telling you to go away. I will continue to tell you to keep promoting your misery and be the negative pessimistic person you are, it gives me something to laugh at every day. There's definitely the possibility you may be right about how some of our career's will pan out, but whats sorry about you is that you will relish in knowing that you predicted someone else's misfortune, that speaks leaps and bounds of you as a human being.

You and me my friend are like the yin and the yang. You know which side of the coin you fit on and i can promise you i am the complete opposite. I apologize if i sound overly critical, but someone needs to help you realize where you do more harm then good. (as you say your objective is) as most of us will say we are all for a different opinion, a devils advocate as they say. a guy like rickair ill use as an example. he surely has plenty of negative things to say but you will find in several of his posts that he can be positive every once in a while.
once again i will say that there is nothing wrong with what you do here if you dont think theres anything wrong with it. at the same time at some point you will need to move on with your life and stop trying to be a hero.

I do however state that there are people in this world who are custom made for this profession. To them I say "better you than I". I mean someone has to do it, right? My target is normal healthy people who have and desire a full and healthy life and dream of friends, family, financial security and home.

Is it pessimistic to say that smoking causes lung cancer?
Should those who's efforts it is to counter the tobacco industry be considered as negative? Perhaps maybe they just need to "move on"? I would bet that they get accused of droning the same message over and over again. What a boring bunch of sad sacks they are. Why can't anti-smokers just move on and leave the next generation to the big tobacco companies to educate?
I think that anti-smoking advocates are positive people. They might dislike smoking but are focused on saving lives and are having a positive effect on the health of our nation.
On that note I don't see myself as negative either but to a smoker who is desperately trying to drown out warnings about the ill effects it can be a buzz kill to see a poster or listen to a radio ad. It makes it difficult to remain in a state of denial with a guy like SkyHigh around.
Don't smoke.

The thing is as I said before I enjoy reading his posts. I was just in the mood to let him know how pathetic he is last night. I mean come on the man admits it's his hobby to come on here and be a downer, who does that? There have to be a thousand more productive things to do with life than try and put down a career you are bitter about because you couldn't hack it in the long run. I come on these sites because at this early point in my career I have gained a lot of valuable insight, for instance I know never to send an application in to an organization like Mesa or GoJets.
Sorry if i seem to care too much, truth is I could care less just after a few adult beverages last night I felt like going on a tangent. We were out of beer and there was nothing better to do.

SkyHigh,
I just wanted to say that I understand what you are doing. Young people looking into flying as a career need to hear something other than the propagnada that is put out there by flight schools looking to take their money. I salute you for that. Like any career, if you want to make it to the top of a profession, you have to make sacrifices that some people are not willing to make. Sacrifices could include spending less time with family and working long hours for crappy wages for the beginning part of your career. Aviation is not the only career where this occurs. Many CEO's start out in the mail room, doctors make crap and work long hours while they do their residencies, and lawyers generally aren't making a ton of cash their first job out of law school. I have read many of your posts and you absolutely got screwed in your career. I understand that you are bitter toward the industry as a whole, but you should include the fact that many people do make it in the industry and make good livings. You should tell people that if you are willing to make the sacrifices and do whatever it takes in the minor leagues of aviation you can make it. Just a thought.

Let me get this right, you were drinking and surfing the web last night by yourself and he is the pathetic one? Sounds to me like you fit the description a bit more closely.
You hear enough of that already. I don't understand why people get so bent out of shape about what he says. As noted previously, balance is good thing; seeing both sides the equation is a good thing.
