you folks do know that comair made huge profits for 25 years and on the day DAL took total control, Comair started loosing money, loosing every year. Ever wonder why?

Please close or change the title. Three 900 captains just hung themselves in ops before they even read the article. You have blood on your hands now.

To all of my Comair friends, I just spoke with a nameless source that had confirmed what we had all thought and suspected. I wanted to give all of you as much of a heads-up as possible. Comair will be making the announcement on July 31st. Their last day of operations will be September 30th.
The U.S. Marshals were briefed to disarm the Comair FFDO's to reduce the risk of one of them from potentially going postal. I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I felt that if I were still at Comair, I would want to know this information as soon as possible in order to plan accordingly. I wish the best of luck to all of you. |
Wow, good luck guys

This industry blows. 2012 was supposed to be the year, Comair shutting the doors, Pinnacle bankrupt thus shutting down Colgan and AMR/Eagle in bankruptcy, it looks as bad as it ever has been.
Ts and Ps to those at Comair, awful situation. |
It's weird that I am seeing this thread on a a couple forums....I haven't been on a computer in a week or so and yesterday I jumpseated with a comair guy, just through conversation he said he knew about the sep. 30th date. Good luck to you all...

I wanted to go to Comair. Back then I figured if I never get my dream corporate job or a major job, I would'nt mind getting stuck at Comair for life. times have certainly changed Translation: Since people need more money as they acquire spouse, mortgage, kids, cars, etc the regional model cannot tolerate employees with high longevity (ie older)...especially when they insist on modestly comfortable compensation. But this is great news for a kid with a newly minted aviation science degree and a bad case of SJS! |
