A one fleet operation makes economical sense (Southwest). Here is a WAY OUT ON THE LIMB possibility. Delta decides to exercise complete control over its 900 regional fleet and guarantee a steady pilot supply over the next ten years. If I were in their shoes, I would buy Pinnacle (probably at a good price right now), transition to an all 900 fleet and establish a flow up / flow down program similar to what Compass had. Just another guess.
Predicted 12/08/12.

Announced today: Pinnacle also filed a restructuring support agreement setting forth the basic terms for Pinnacle’s plan of reorganization. This reorganization plan, if approved, will allow Delta to convert its financial support into ownership of Pinnacle after it emerges from bankruptcy.

If the TA passes and Delta owns Pinnacle, the giant sucking sound you will hear is Delta pulling most of the 900s it owns away from other Regionals (lack of performance , etc.) and assigning them to Pinnacle. I'm not sure of numbers but that could be as many as 45 aircraft.

Umm, you do know 9E's performance is one of the worst, right?

False. Mesaba 900s maybe, but not Pinnacle's. 16 900s made 5x as much performance incentive $ than the other 41.

Only FA's with 6+ years of longevity will make more than 1st year FO's... Once an FO hits year 2 pay they make more than what the FA pay scale pays when it maxes out at 15 years

This is bankruptcy, reorganization, restructuring, implementation of new programs, consolidated operations, maintenance and training, elimination of management redundancy, better effectiveness ( doing the right thing) and efficiency (doing it the right way). In the long term it should lead to higher profits, enhanced safety, increased employee morale and stable employment with career paths (Regional - Major.)

Now that we have all those "glittering generalities" listed, the bottom line is "stay in business, stay safe, maximize performance and increase profits."

I was referring to the whole operation including 200s. But if you're just comparing 900s, I dont know that breakdown. So, you you're probably right.

That is incorrect. Pinnacle on overall controllable completion factor and controllable D0 was second in the Delta Connection system last month. Second to Compass.

We called this in December 2011.

Some of us can only dream of that kind of job security.
