I'm not going to contaminate the poll with my vote, but y'all know where I stand on this.
Delta and Comair pilots have been here many times before and it always ends the same... Delta wins. |

Haha. Shimmy is the furthest thing from management. Sir, I know Shimmy and you are no Shimmy.
I look forward to shutting the operation down with you. See you in the unemployment line my amigo!!! Cheers! |
As a former Comair guy, I am biased. We took concessions (3 times) and Delta still F'ed us. Unfortunately, my view is that, regardless of the path y'all choose, the outcome has already been chosen by Delta.

This poll is assuming we have some kind of chance of determining the final state of the airline. We have no such power. Like I said earlier the fleet plan is the fleet plan. Whether we vote yes or no the end state fleet plan doesn't change. If you vote yes we will still be down to 81 planes by the end of 2014. If you vote no we will still be down to 81 planes by the end of 2014. The bankruptcy judge still has to approve the contract and deem it fit for bankruptcy exit. That means that he will have already reviewed it and signed off on it. So we vote it in it gets implemented. We vote it down and the judge implements it because according to our union who agreed to it the TA is considered fair. It is the same scenario the AA pilots went through when they voted theirs down. In just a matter of days the judge gave AA the right to throw out their contract and implement their terms. We lose either way. Unfortunately for those of you who think voting this down or up will make a difference you are mistaken. There will be lots of downgrades and furloughs. The vote will not change that.

The only thing I still can't figure out is why delta would loan a company tens of millions of dollars, then squash them a year later. Not saying that's not what's happening, but it doesn't add up.
