Quote: Getting your number as an APA pilot now, and then flowing/bidding to larger equipment means you could be skipping reserve right out of training. Flowing under your current program, that won't happen. That's just one example. How about if they ever furlough? Get your number now and you may stay employed. Wait for your flow program, enjoy Home Depot.
Mason,

Why would the APA want to even deal with Eagle? What's in it for you guys?

Lets be honest, it's not happening.

All planes operated by or on behalf of AA shall be operated by pilots on the APA seniority list.
Taking back the flying has always been an objective of ours.

We already are told that soon every single Eagle pilot will have job rights here. If we are getting you anyway; shouldn't we take back the flying too?

I'm all for it. My two questions are what does the APA want from Eagle, and how do we make management comply.

You forget that DUI Douggie would have to sign off on giving APA all the flying back.

Lol, if only it were that easy

I'll play:

1- 3000 stronger pilot group
2- mitigate upcoming retirements
3- scope issues circumvented (175's, 190's without scope concerns)
4- maintain active interest in the mainline (with both pilots and pax)
5- interest pilots to leave their current regional, leading to lack of staffing, therefore route vulnerability which can be taken advantage of
6- solidarity
7- Want to be the biggest? Have to be the biggest.
8- for once be proactive not reactive to changes in the industry.

Just a few off the top of my head.

Specially that las one, Delta is ahead of the game, then United and the n AA.

If you want to be the biggest, you have to behave like one. Make industry changes, make Delta follow you.

But we know how AMR and AAG are, they want cheap.

Hopefully we would make it work, if APA and AE get together to fight this management.

APA ensured AA's continual position in last place by forcing AMR management out for DUI Douggie and his team. I understand there was hatred and animosity between APA and AMR but that decision will end up being a poor one.
