Better yet, put your money where your mouth is. Why don't all of you that are so vocal about voting no quit your job to show support? Ya, that's what I thought. Until you are willing to help with the solution, you're part of the problem

That isn't only unique to Pinnacle. I see that and backpacks worn at many airlines. Furthermore, have some compassion for the stress we have been under the last year. Things always look different when you're on the outside looking in.

The north face jacket came into play when this waste of a airline switched our uniforms from blue to black but would not pay for new overcoats. They told us to wear a blue overcoat with a black uniform and while that isn't as gay as shyguys new uniform at virgin it looks far worse than a black north face jacket. I don't carry a back pack but I don't have a problem with them it seems mainline doesn't either being that I see double breasted with back packs everyday.

You may think you deserve more pay and maybe you do but there are others willing to do it for less. Delta and company will use them and you and other like you will be forced to find work elsewhere. Some at another regional paying very little as a first year FO. I repeat THINK STRATEGICALLY.

Would a strategic vote be voting no and then going to the airline taking over the flying and upgrading in a year? The upgrades at 9E are probably gone forever. Would a strategic vote be voting no because you know that by taking a pay cut now your are putting downward pressure on your future earnings for the next 10 years? Voting strategically doesn't always include a yes vote, we all know how bad many pilots want to keep their job and we all see your point of view but there are two sides to this vote - as hard as that is for many to comprehend.

Don't hold back, tell us how you really feel about pilot uniforms.

Reference backpacks they sell a nice one in the Stopover Store in ATL DTW MSP

Pinchanickled 01-08-2013 03:34 AM

Keep in mind. This is how retarded this whole thing is. The bankruptcy judge ruled against giving pilots this much of a pay cut. So the company then turns to the pilot group, with threats, and asks the pilots to vote in the pay cut voluntarily.

Think about how retarded this whole thing is. The JUDGE said NO....and pilots on here are saying YES CUT OUR PAY!!!!

HOW RETARDED!!!

The cuts proposed during the 1113 hearing were more sever. The judge even told them what he would approve. Pinnacle is in the ballpark

If he quits, he can't vote. The best way he could show support would be to vote, then start a better job the day after the votes are tallied.

Pinchanickled, you dont have all the information and you are not the one being asked to quit you job on the 15th of Jan. Your lack of eloquence and regard, for what the 9E pilot group are going through, shows me that you could care less about us and more about your chances of taking our planes. Thanks for all your support.

The only show of support that will change my vote to no is when all of you non-9E NoVoters quit your job and show us that you have our backs when we are in the unemployment line. Until then, a simple show of empathy is all that is required from you.

By the way, you never did get back to us on those four questions that I posed to you. Your silence is deafening. (I can repost them for you if you'd like?)

You still crack me up

I believe the socially accurate term for our uniforms is ''metrosexual''.

My post was intentded for those who don't work at Pinnacle. Some of these posts angered me. Some of you make it sound so easy. Well what I would do if.... and yet when you're truely walking in someone elses shoes most of the time the actions are different. It looks much different when you're on the outside looking in. I still feel that until everyone bands together this won't stop. It didn't stop after Comair, and it won't end with Pinnacle. A no vote from us will only shift planes to other low cost contract carriers.

do you always spread lies or what you heard from your boyfriends's girlfriend's sister's cousin who works as a scheduler for Horizon to suit your agenda?

And what makes you so sure any of what you post will happen? Waiting to be hired at a major is probably 2 years away. Plus anyone making a lateral move will probably be stuck at the bottom for a very long time white 50 seaters are parked. It's all a guess at this point, and you don't have a crystal ball any more than I do

Ironically, a yes vote will do the exact same thing. How do I know this? Don Bornhorst is calling the shots at DCI and he is using the same playbook as he did with Comair. He was once the Comair president ( I believe we called him ''new guy 2"). He made his career by rising up through the ranks at Comair. Hell, he often told the story of how he grew up right at the end of the runway in CVG. Yet at the end of the day, he was instrumental in the downsizing and closure of Comair in much the same way that Pinnacle now finds itself. All the history you need is embedded in the annals of the ''Latest and Greatest at Comair'' thread.

Both votes will lead to the same conclusion. One will get you there quicker than the other. Don Bornhorst is the harbinger of death. This has all happened before and it will all happen again.

I don't believe you can say that with 100% certainy. Is it a possibility? Of course it is. Care to comment on the second part of my post?

I can't argue with that logic. Other than death, there are no guarantees in life.

What's the second part that you want me to comment on? I re-read your post and can't find anything else to comment on. It may very well be there, however, I am a product of the public school system so please forgive my incompetence if it is there! :)

For instance, I ended two sentences just now with a preposition. In fact, if he is reading this, Baxter is gnashing his teeth because of it!

I seem to remember a joke whose punchline solved that problem:
