according to Eaglefly you can just come to eagle, wait 3 months till they furlough everyone because they are shutting us down, keep money, and then return from your loa to first airline.

Joey is in the know, so it must be true.

Baloney. Show me ONE post where I have claimed Eagle will be shut down. For well over a year I HAVE described a scenario of other carriers being brought in to take some of Eagles flying for whipsaw purposes. It is now happening. You and the knuckledragger when not belching your "Joey's" ran around here claiming your assertion and saying I was just spreading gloom and doom. I was doing neither, just highlighting the obvious.

If you actually do some research, you'll find the fact that I think Eagle will survive, including getting new and larger RJ's, but will be smaller. Of course, facts aren't your specialty, but instead emotion and baseless hysteria. It's just a suggestion, but I'd stop listening to that idiot. He hasn't made one worthwhile post on this forum ever, as he's a........

So why not refer a 1500few hour cfi to a better paying eagle over a god awful rah?

At least eagle is facing mass attrition to aa.

You (and anyone else) are free to do as they please. I'm not specifically telling you NOT to do that, just criticizing the self-hypocrosy OF doing it. You're assisting the very people who have screwed you over time and again. Your union has been doing it for years and you guys have screamed to the rafters about it (yet doing nothing to stop it) and now want to join them in the assistance game. Again,..........I say go for it !!!

Mass attrition to AA ?

So far, the only attrition I see is perhaps 100-150 flowthru's with AA numbers in the near future and then MAYBE 824 pilots that will take many years to flow. Doesn't your supposed fleet plan provide for about 7-800 less pilots then are currently employed ?

It's very possible you'd just be luring pilots to Eagle for a future furlough situation, especially with the uncertainties of a merger. Better pay at Eagle vs. more likely advancement at RAH ?

That's a tough call. Of course, they have shiny jets coming and flying candy is tough to turn down for pilots.....even if it tastes like crap after awhile.

The "bonus" and "referral" programs have come and gone at various carriers and this time there just isn't that many pilots to nip at the bait. This is a tetnus shot for a shark bite. In 18-24 month's it will (hopefully) be the full-blown crisis that's been long overdue, especially if the majors begin taking pilots in earnest.

Carriers like RAH may be in the most precarious situations as they will have new contract promises to meet and big bills to pay. Eagle on the other hand can still work a deal for exchange of a large number of old EMB's for a lessor number of new, larger ones and MIGHT keep their head above water longer. Still, a mouthful and perhaps even a lungful of water is headed to the regional industry.

eaglefly,

so where would you go if you were had to choose a regional? I should be finished with my multi min in a month and would like to hear your wisdom.

Thank you!

Where did Eagle get all this money to offer bonuses and hiring incentives?
