The "fleet plan" is for American Eagle brand. Don't confuse that with L-Eagle. The truth is Alpa(team Tony) lied to the pilot group, we gave up concessions for what? New uniforms? Paint jobs? Bonus for new hires?

Face it. We got shafted by them and management once again.

1-truth that AE never had a fleet plan.(this alpa knows already)

If this is true then the company and the union both negotiated in bad faith as they both stated that there was a plan but could not disclose it as they negotiated it. For months they have been saying that the fleet plan is not affected by a merger and that our hiring and management decisions at AE are taking into account a possible merger.

Please, don't be so naive. They lied to us and will do so again. They will tell you what you want to hear in distressful times.

They don't care.

I am with you, I don't trust ALPA. But repeatedly they mentioned about a fleet plan for the whole brand but also about our airline. No there is no mistake, the company as well as union have said there is a fleet plan, there is a furlough protection clause in the contract that covers around 210 airplanes. Yea, yea, I know. But still as of right now is there in writing. I think if there is no fleet plan that ALPA would be setting themselves up for a bad lawsuit as well as the company for bargaining in bad faith.

If they lied there could be serious consequences for lying to this extent. ALPA already got their @$$ handed to them by TWA for lack of representation, what do you think would happen when your reps who for a long period of time were working with the company, paid by the company on special assignment lie to you about having a fleet plan and tell you that you will replace your smaller airframes, this also being said by the company. The company and the union both say that the fleet plan will be based on the furlough protection numbers. This would be a very bad case and I would presume there would be lawsuits. ALPA would have to file a law suit against the company representing the pilots and how the company negotiated with them and the fleet plan was involved in those negotiations. Things aren't rosy but man we really got ******** If now all of a sudden we won't replace airframes, we won't send the 824, we won't honor the furlough protection and we will be sold to the lowest bidder for scraps. There was a lot of time and money spent negotiating for nothing then.

I would suggest to anyone to read the objection filed by Alpa yesterday very carefully specially pages 8-10.

Its very clear that AMR never had any intentions to place bigger RJ's at Eagle.

It could also be that ALPA is pressuring AMR for a public fleet plan! History tells us that what you said is likely and I have read the document but it could also be that they are putting pressure on management. Next Thursday in court ALPA, the creditors and management will have to talk to the judge. More light should shine out of this, remember that AMR told the UCC that American Eagle Airlines will provide the majority of the lift under the American Eagle name. ALso another thing to remember is that a CRJ700 is not considered a large RJ and that could be what they plan to replace the ERJs with. I am skeptical as well but we can only work with the information we got, or lack there of.

Agreed. Hope for the best, but with past and recent Alpa experience, nothing comes good out of them. Make no mistake whatever we hear next week, aint going to be rosy...
