"guys, with this merger all bets are off. The"fleet plan" is out the window. That furlough protection will be voided. We just cant compete with the other players out there. More flying, those options for 47 planes will go to an undisclosed regional. Hiring will stop today as we will shrink even more.The good news is that no one should get furlough. I will keep you informed as I get more news. I am optimistic about our future and with your continued support I am confident we will succeed."

Three rumors that I heard last week:
Divestiture is off the table. Correlation for this one is that Delta purchased Pinacle last week which may indicate a reversal of the trend to divest regional carriers. Reversal?
FAA has directed AE (The real AE) to stand up a new training program for new equipment. (Not differences training) With Republic getting the lions share of all EMB 175 what equipment would that leave us?
Vacancy bid for captains to outnumber any displacement bids by 100. To happen soon.
Like any rumors, time will tell.... Jeopardy music plays in the background...

Facts from what? Eagle lounge? You're going on nothing but speculation. If it's going to be so bad here, why don't you just go to republic now? I try to be positive about the situation. If you look at any regional, they have their share of problems. Yeah, ours isn't the greatest, but we have a better outlook than some other airlines.
