Default Mesaba/Colgan Saab pilots...

In the interest of freeing up one 9E Captain seat, here is what seems to be a Direct Entry Captain position in the Saab 340 based at Chicago MDW and Waterford, MI (PTK airport). It's Pentastar Aviation, these are the same guys who have the contract with UM Survival Flight for 3 of the EC helicopters and 1 Citation. This Saab operation seems to be easy flying based on the description, 3 flights per day, 4 days per week.

Good luck.

Pilot: SAAB 340

This position will be located in Chicago, Illinois and Waterford, Michigan.

The individuals selected for these positions must live within 2 hours of the Base of Operations, Midway Airport, Chicago, Illinois or within 2 hours of the second Base of Operation, Waterford, MI.

The successful candidates will perform duties for an operation that will conduct up to 3 flights a day, 4 days a week, on flight segments that will be approximately 1 hour in length. On days that the aircraft is not scheduled to fly, the aircraft and crew will be available for on-demand charter. The aircraft will be staffed sufficiently to permit regular days off and vacation.

Other duties may include aircraft interior cleaning, passenger check-in and ID verification, baggage handling, and assisting passengers as necessary.

As a pilot for Pentastar Aviation, crew members can expect to fly about 200 hours per year with little international travel.

Qualifications
•ATP Certificate
•Minimum of 4,000 hours of Total Flight Time
•Minimum 100 hours of time-in-type preferred
•Bachelor’s degree preferred
•SAAB 340 experience required
•Ability to manage a changing work schedule

This Position is Currently Open

Pentastar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

•* Indicates a required field.
•Resumes without salary expectations will not be considered.

That plane is always broken and the loads are terrible I doubt it lasts much longer. Heck I'd love to work for them since I live right next to MDW, but seeing what I see it's just not worth the chance.

I think it's for a travel company because the destination is a large tourist area that focuses on skiing golf lake activities etc. etc. It's called Lakeshore Express.

Also they market it as a hey connect to thousands of other cities well in MDW you land at the FBO on the south side of the field and then you would have to cab/shuttle it over to the terminal making it just a huge pain.
