Eagle Flow
#4
Thread title is misleading, it is not a flow. It's not even "preferential hiring" like the last group
What has been offered now is a preferential INTERVIEW. IE, AA has to be hiring and you have to pass the interview. However you can only make good on this after all previous flow through agreements have been met. Remember, there are 3 other groups:
The "Numbered" guys who are just now starting to go over to AA.
The infamous "824"
The "Preferential Hires" which is everyone else hired on or before October 11 2011.
THEN the will those people get a chance to interview at AA. No guaranteed job like any of the three previous agreements.
No idea how this is anyway worth anything to people considering coming to AA.

Thanks for the clarification.

I'm in the 3rd group - the preferential hires (Hired before Oct 11 11). Basically once they get to your number, you just jump over to AA. No interview or drug test. I do not expect to ever use that "benefit" - not that I don't want to go to AA, I just will get better chances applying to other legacies (or directly to AA) than waiting for my number to get called.

A frisking carrot dangling from a string!!
Dear XXXXXX,
Congratulations on having been selected as a pilot by American Airlines, Inc.’s corporate affiliate, American Eagle Airlines, Inc. I sincerely hope that this is the beginning for you of a long and fruitful career in the airline industry.
One of the advantages of your having accepted a position with American Eagle is that I am able to extend to you the opportunity to interview for a position with American Airlines in the future, after certain criteria have been met. The criteria include your completion of 2,000 flight hours at American Eagle, followed by a written recommendation from an American Eagle Chief Pilot that you be interviewed by American; and, the positions at American for Eagle pilots having flow through opportunities all must have been previously filled. You must also meet the non-flight hour American pilot hiring criteria at the time that you apply, and American must be hiring pilots in order to be eligible for an interview with American.
American’s and American Eagle’s respective Flight Departments have worked together to provide this opportunity, which we believe will create the best flight career path in the industry. This opportunity will continue to exist even if American Eagle is divested from AMR at some future date.
I am convinced that offering this opportunity to Eagle pilots will provide American with a valuable source of experienced, highly trained pilot recruits already familiar with American’s routes, airports, operations, and operating systems. Moreover, it will provide selected Eagle pilots a desirable path for further career progression at the premier major air carrier in the U.S.
Again, congratulations on your position at American Eagle. You have my best wishes as your career progresses -- and I certainly hope that, in the future, you will consider interviewing with American.
Sincerely,
