From the latest ALPA email....

According to Ryan Gumm, the Pinnacle-Delta alliance is a “new and different approach by a major airline to create a seamless customer experience between mainline and regional service. The level of support from Delta is unprecedented and is providing a platform that we can build upon to grow.”

Gumm’s goal for Pinnacle is to be a world-class regional airline with the best product at the best price. In order to achieve that goal, Pinnacle employees, including the pilots, must own the idea of “one level of customer service” that spans the Delta network.

I'll get right on that as soon as they get on "one level of pay and benefits" for that level of effort. So far they have been going in the wrong direction with that.

They can but it wouldn't change the JCBA. They should have asked it in the TA if they wanted it. From what I'm hearing from friends it sounds like a ton of FO's wear north face jackets in DTW. They should start by addressing this.

Probably because the company didn't bother to provide a coat when they changed the uniforms from blue to black. The company is lucky they all don't show up wearing a chimp suit. After all the company is now paying wages in bananas.

If they said that in your ground school they were wrong. There is no wear requirement for in the ac or on walk around

optional although it should be removed if it presents a
safety hazard, i.e., wheel well inspection

Zoom!!! Right over your head.

Doesn't that mean no hats on the ramp, so it won't blow off and FOD out an engine?

positive. This was the case.

so they can't afford a $75 pilot overcoat from a vendor or Coat's Warehouse, but have no problem dishing out $200 for a $50 fleece jacket whose price is jacked up simply because it says "The North Face" on it? Sounds like some people are still in high school and only buy the best to fit in with the "in" crowd! I think my favorite was the -900 FO who was wearing a black Under Armor hoodie at the gate podium, hood up, with the giant white UA logo, and sunglasses on while looking at the release for 20 minutes at night. Looked like the Unibomber.

Of course you did, you were Colgan.

(kidding, but we at Mesaba were told we had to just wear our blue coats or buy a coat at our own expense)

Colgan guys weren't provided with overcoats, just the blazer, same as Mesaba. I bought a black overcoat, because it looks stupid to wear the blue one with the black uniform, even though it is allowed.
