That extra time off to study would be nice as long as they were told what to study for the oral.

Sounds like good news to me. Enjoy the time off. I assume they will still be collecting paychecks?

The last time they told New Hire classes to go home because of a training bubble and "promised" to bring them back. We furloughed about a month later.. FWIW, I would plan on never returning but, definitely milk it in the mean time if your still getting a paycheck.. I checked and it appears this is true.. Apparently due to Sim time.. That's the excuse.

This is not how it happened!

The class started a week or so after the bankruptcy was filled, they completed INDOC and then either before they left for CBT or right before returned they got the call that they were furlough. This is not the same situation. They just started a new class yesterday. They are short on SIMs with the FOQ, they are taking care of the FOQ before the new hires, don't be surprised if they get SIM time elsewhere as it is my understanding that we are down one SIM.

What class date was it? And why continue new hire classes. If everyone continues to be pushed back. Each class after that would be pushed back... causing a back up... If they can't handle training the ATR guys and a new hire class wouldn't that just lead to a back up of new hires? Let hear it RJ

Because they want new hires, the company wants to get this new hires so they'll pay them the 5k bonus and spend around 10K to have them sit at home while they can get them SIM time.

They are using sim time in other cities. That's a fact. Felt, you will fit right on as a FNG.

Our new hire class was shotgunned all over - Some stayed at the AETC, some to Dallas Flight Safety, some to Houston Flight safety and myself and one other went to St. Louis Flight safety. I can say, after 6 weeks of being in Dallas, I was happy to get the F out of Texas.

You're not the only ones doing that.... Before I left my previous employer they had recurrent grounds going to PHX Flight Safety, Houston Flight Safety, and our Dir. of Training was going to Paris, France Flight Safety...
