if you say so.

A company that is going to pay for tickets and a hotel to entice Jr. to go look at a flight school, maybe enroll, maybe finish, and then hire them is indeed creative. Sort of like the creative ways lending went out to unqualified home buyers. Parents that fall for this 20 to 1 debt ratio should perhaps be reported to child protective services.

A smart move would be to washout of training before showing up.

I wouldn't touch Eagle even if it came begging and knocking on my door to give me a job.

I think all of the regionals are about to become pretty desparate for new blood...AE needs 600, RAH needs 800, PDT & PSA probably need about 100 each just to offeset the new rest rules and attrition. XJT, SKW, Mesa and all the others will need them too. All in all, just this year a couple thousand new SJS kiddes are needed to keep the regional mafiosos a-flyin!

I can't imagine how interesting things will get when legacy retirement and hiring really ramps up. I foresee (and this is just an opinion) regional airlines almost certainly having to raise 1st years pay and starting to activly recruit /poach pilots from competing regionals.

Don't worry, they won't.

Well apparently they are not too desperate. My friend interviewed this week. He has a clean record, an internal recommendation, an ATP license and is a very talented pilot. Think he said they started out with 7 and by lunch, there were only 2 left. He didn't make it and of course was given no reason.

Maybe he thought he was God's gift to aviation?
