Default RAH Upgrade Policy?

Is our (RAH’s) policy that a pilot gets three tries at passing a checkride and if they fail the third checkride, they are terminated? Or is there some discretion involved on the company’s part?

If a member of the Negotiations Committee or the EBoard failed an upgrade checkride three times and was terminated, how would that affect our negotiations?

In the case of the NC, would the EBoard just name a new NC member?

If an EBoard member were terminated, would there be a new election, would a selection process by the remaining EBoard, a situation that occurred when an EBoard member recently resigned, fill the position or would the EBoard members all just move up a slot?

If the Pres. were terminated for failing upgrade, would the VP automatically fill his spot? Would that be a temporary situation with an election to follow or would the VP remain Pres. and a new VP either selected by the EBoard or would there be an election for the VP position?

Just a couple of theoretical questions…

The next step is to call the IBT doctor to make up a bull**** excuse to go out on medical before you're fired on the third bust. How's the long term disability policy over there?

Why would you post this here vs reading your contract, asking a rep or posting on the union msg board? What exactly is your agenda?

Really?

What part is confusing?

Posting on the union site would get me crucified. It would probably be considered "treasonous" and I could get kicked out of the union - or worse.

No agenda, just a couple of questions about what might hypothetically transpire with our negotiations and status if certain events were to occur.

I did read my contract and yet it seemed relevant to post theoretical or hypothetical questions regarding said contract language effects.

Does that clear it up at all?

Not in the least. (Btw, I never stated that I was confused...)

IBT's Constitution and Bylaws. Article XXII, Article 9, "Vacancies".
