Of course. He flies a CRJ, I fly an Airbus so obviously by definition I am better than him.
You never cease to amaze. |
Well what about size of the pilot does that factor in???????

Wait... So "by definition" you are better because the plane is bigger?

So you fly an Airbus but somehow can't stay away from the Pinnacle threads, you are tool... You used to even come and hang out by their crew rooms showing off your VA uniform. At Eagle Lounge you are always getting smacked with your Cherooke handle. Instead you should be helping your Pinnacle folks with getting hired at VA.

Quite possibly the finest chart I've ever seen. That should settle any questions.

Thats the difference between those pilots who are playing checkers versus those pilots who are playing chess. You sound like a pilot playing checkers, believing that a degree doesn't mean squat, and probably not furthering yourself. Those pilots playing chess have degrees in good fields, are learning and/or working towards a masters, and if they want some day they can advance to something more than just a line pilot. For example, it opens up opprtunities in management while still getting to fly once in a while.
But they are still required to "check the box" across the industry. Artificially limiting one's self without getting at least a BA in Feelings with a minor in Regurgitation may save someone the money initially, but could cost them millions across their career. Yes there are exceptions, and for those who can make that work out for them, great! But there's just way too many fairly cheapa nd easy ways to earn a degree part time while working another flying job (especially while working another flying job) to warrant putting down the sour grapes and just gitting-er-dunn. BTW you probably lost a lot of ppl when you talked about getting an MBA to get into airline management. Not only is the ROI on that far from certain, but I'd say that the overwhelming vast majority of pilots don't want to get into management. |
