You're the clueless ones. Good luck treading in your own water.
Lots of aviators coming out of the military branches who totally trump your existance. Reality hits you hard bro.
Hmmmmm.......I bet you guys are the regional scumbags who wear backpacks to work, aren't you!
Reality is that each major airline who is hiring has thousands of resumes to sort from. Sure, we all know the 0 Total PIC guy without a college degree who slipped through the system. But those guys are few and far between.
The VAST majority of professional aviators landing jobs at "destination airlines" are well groomed, educated, experienced, and these attributes make their resume rise to stack "A".
Keep on dreaming if you're a backpack wearing regional FO who has one bullet point: "RJ First Officer".

Now a real plane with complicated instructions, busy freq, a windshield covered in glycol making the taxi lights look like giant halos... That's a good time.

2. Nope not a regional FO- got more TPIC time than most 90% of guys coming out of the military (since you brought it up)
3. Read the other threads on this forum. Lots of guys getting out of the military are considering regionals, because again, legacies are not hiring.
4. Got a 4 year degree. (go dogs!)
Your clueless.

The fact that you are contemplating not leaving shows how uneducated you are with the airline industry. Sorry to be so blunt, but you need to wakeup and realize that any position at any major is better than any position at any regional. Sure, the pay the first year might be tough, but don't be so short sighted.
If you are at a regional, that probably means that your resume is rather poor. Most new hires at majors have multiple type ratings, multiple college degrees and are the creme of the crop. I'd look really hard at yourself in the mirror and if all you have is CRJ time and a college degree, then I would take ANY major job that presents itself.
A CRJ driver with a college degree is a dime a dozen. There are thousands of other resumes with military aircraft time, and alot more bullet points than you have.
Beggers can't be choosers.

By the way, Blue has taken many of our FO's and CA's that did the zero-to-hero programs, got on at Pinnacle with 250 hours, and then got on at Blue. So much for those bullet points and needing to be creme of the crop....

FWIW, I have three good buddies that got hired the past 2 months at UAL with 0TPIC, it's not just Spirit, VA, and Jblue that hire FOs

so that's why you're at jetblue and not a legacy? truth hurts hey? by the way, I'm not bashing all JetBlue pilots, I have many a friend there, but don't come on here spouting holier than thou stuff and pretending like getting on at Blue is on par with Delta, American or United, Fedex, UPS

Im not sure why? Do you need the 777 type rating to feel like a man?, do you not like flying domestic? Is Spirits top pay of $187.00/hr not enough? What's wrong with JBlue?, VA? Etc...
I'm not picking on you but I find it funny that you won't work for Spirit, Jblue, or VA, yet you are currently working for a regional where I can gaurantee you a middle of the pack F/O at anyone of those airlines that you don't want to work for makes more than you and has a higher QOL.
