You don't know me or Ernst.. But you assume he is doing better than me, why? Because he flies a bigger airplane or works at JB?? Seems like you answered you own question from a few post ago inquiring why I don't want to work at JB, VA, NK. Do you need a 777 type to feel like a man? Or do I not like flying domestic? You were being passive aggressive in your first post then contradicting in this post...

What does it matter? I flew years as an FO with an SIC type. The FOs at my company are now typed. No difference in their capabilities or duties.
Unless one desires to become an expat, an FO is still an FO, type or not.
I'd say the quality of training matters most. Done in house vs. farmed out. The experience level of the ground instructors ( time in type) and line instructors is what matters most.

And do you not think DL/UAL/AA are better companies than JB/NK/VA with brighter futures? Since its not required for me to go to JB,va,Nk to get to DL, and because i was fortunate to upgrade at 9E, I'd like my next move to be my final. I do get what your saying, and we can keep going around and around, but we're pilots, we think every other pilot should have done it the way we did ..

And several of us (and growing) "RJ Guys" didn't choose to work for the regional we work for now.... but it's not exactly been pick your interview lately at the "better than regionals" much less top level majors.

Reality is that each major airline who is hiring has thousands of resumes to sort from. Sure, we all know the 0 Total PIC guy without a college degree who slipped through the system. But those guys are few and far between.
The VAST majority of professional aviators landing jobs at "destination airlines" are well groomed, educated, experienced, and these attributes make their resume rise to stack "A".
Keep on dreaming if you're a backpack wearing regional FO who has one bullet point: "RJ First Officer".

Believe me, I hear ya when you say you want your next move to be final out of a regional. Everyone does! But you have to look at the reality of the situation too.
