If its going to be Skywest, why are they waiting so long to make the announcement?

Don't take your eyes off of Trans States/Compass...

Isn't SKW inc working on the Ejet program at SKW and EXJ? Could it be that EXJ will be the first airline to roll them and what they are actually waiting for is the concessions. Delta has the concessions set, AA is trying to match Delta and United's is mainly done by EXJ and SKW whom are considered "expensive" regionals. We know that it's about what United pays SKW not what SKW pays the pilots but they sort of go hand in hand.

EXJ, isn't rolling anything anytime soon. SKW will be rolling their 1st EJet Spring of 2014 with ORD as the domicile and our bid for the aircraft/base opens Aug 1st.

SKYW is is flying their own airplanes, not sub leased UAL birds. UAL wants their airplanes up and running by January. For that to happen they will have to go someplace with a 170 program in place. Rumor is UAL wants these to be replacement aircraft for 50 seaters, not new growth. That means Compass/TSA or Chatuttlepublic.

Not if they want them flying in January. No way to get a training program up by then. Supposedly the FAA has sent the word out that any requests for new certificates or training programs for new aircraft will be slowed down due to staffing shortages caused by the sequester. I heard that is what is slowing California Pacific's certification. Rumor has it they were the low bid for these airplanes but UAL decided to move on when they couldn't get their certificate up and running in time to start flying in January.

Chq only flies 12 145s on a very short term contract. These 170s will not be used for that reason at rah. The one thing I keep hearing is express jet will fly these in exchange for 50 seaters.

Those 170's are going to look cool in that United livery.

The FAA got money to support ops so the sequestration was a FAA scam just like management.
