And the winner is.... SKW!!!
But there are 40 airplanes that SKW just bought, still don't know about the 30 that United acquired.

Well I thought it was going to be xjt but glad that there might be some movement in the ranks after a tough time for airlines that has lead to a long wait for upgrades. Window of opportunity to come to skw and possibly not have to sit reserve. I definitely recommend skw as a place to work. SKW is my second airline job so that's not just cheerleading.

I can't imagine why you thought good news or a new aircraft type would be announced at the red-headed stepchild of SKYW, Inc before OO.

Because xjt had their recent base announcements of DEN, MCI, IAD. Looked to be restructure for new type to me with a large mx base at MCI (tons of cheap hangars at MCI). But maybe I'm just a pessimist?[/QUOTE]
That was clearly to make room for someone else.

I think United is shifting block hours for the XJT 50-seaters out of one of their busiest and most crowded hubs (ORD) to make room for larger RJs operated by OO and others. This would be not unlike the up-gauging in IAH when OO CRJs started operating there post-merger.
