Network while you are at your new job, because many of these pilots will be moving on to as one guy put it "The land of rainbows and unicorns," that is the Majors.
Funny, I have three friends who got hired with less time at UAL. And funny also that you assume that current hiring of mostly those with an "in" will continue. By this time next year, everyone will be hiring. By this time two years from now, anyone who wants a mainline job will be able to get one.

And your comment about "one with the best work rules" show how clueless you are about the regionals. Such a thing doesn't exist. "Network at your new job"? What, kiss ass to jumpseaters. Give me a break. Yeah, that'll get you hired.

Because they support an airline that was founded specifically to circumvent the collective bargaining agreement of another airline. They won the race to the bottom because they supported it in the name of "being a captain sooner!".

Without pilots willing to work there, management wouldn't have been able to create the airline in the first place.

Ok, technically, that could be said for any regional operating jets. And what makes GoJets worse than Pinnacle, Compass, Trans States, or any other? You need to get off your high horse. Smart pilots do whatever they have to do to move on the fastest. Dumb pilots stick to principles and watch everyone get hired before them. Sounds like you have regrets.

Oh, and I guess all the furloughed United and Comair pilots working at G7 are a bunch of "scumbag"s and scabs.

Yup! What do you think makes them any different? There undercutting me and those still at the legacy. So as long as you had a good job once it now allows you to undercut anyone to get you back to where you think you deserve to be regardless of whom you hurt in getting there. [deleted]

I would do what some have said apply anywhere that's hiring get current and attend those job fairs. I hear that United puts a lot of emphasis on the job fair, show your interest.

Endeavor Air will be hiring by fall, you can come join Delta's elite regional with our elite pay and work rules.
Who knows maybe by then we will have voted in more pay cuts, because Delta needs to give mainline employees another raise.

Management couldn't have done it without cooperation from the pilots. And it's not like it created MORE jobs, just kept a pilot group from helping to raise the pay standards for everybody. Just shifted flying from a group who demanded better wages to a group who wanted to push ahead of them by selling themselves out. All these guys blowing about how we should all take a stand are probably the very ones who would jump to take our places once we did.
