Gentleman, It's to early to celebrate.
The concept of a B scale is unacceptable and thus this document is unacceptable and shall NOT be sent for pilot ratification; further the MEC hereby declines any further negotiations with a reference to a B scale. The B scale idea was rejected but the concessions negotiations are a go as long as the company returns to the table. It was a small step in the right direction but the storm is full steam ahead. |

No one here at Pinnacle wishes the decisions we had to make on any other carrier. Some here suggested the other regional MEC's should come to our aid before the vote, but the gallery was silent. |

The Eagle MEC voted exactly how should have, much like the countless offers from management the 9E MEC, negotiating committee and 9E pilot group refused. Just because your management brought 9E into this argument doesn't mean 9E is the cause of what US Air is asking. Pinnacle held the line for years before gaining an industry leading contract and then being forced into bankruptcy with concessions.

You voted more than half of your selves out of a job and the rest for horrible wages. Delta bragged about how they got you to do it and the rest of the industry liked it. 9E started this. ZERO doubt about that. 9E's previous contract was hardly industry leading. Payrates not much better if at all than ASA and worse than XJT. Name a "leading" aspect of that contract that ASA or ExpressJet didn't have for years before that. |
Excellent, now how about ALPA and APA working together to make this place worth coming to.

The majors are bringing down the "top scale" regional costs - the expensive crews. Delta's highest Regional cockpit crew cost is $160.00 / flight hour as compared to $135 / flight hour at GoJets. Endeavor is not the lowest.
Future crew planning prompts them to level FOs at about the five year point - assuming they will shortly move into the left seat with higher pay. They will also try and level captains pay at about the twelve year point assuming a majority of them will have moved on to the majors by then. There will be screaming, gnashing of teeth, foot dragging, game blaming, threats and promises of martyrdom and statements of "take one for the team." I think most of you should study the Endeavor (Pinnacle) pay scale and start your future financial planning. |
