I interviewed with a company recently. They purchased a round trip ticket for me on a major carrier and bought me a hotel room for the night. I was very impressed!

Back in 05, Comair was standby, Mesaba was positive space. Both have been sent to the Delta scrap heap.

I guess the problem, then, must be comprehension.

If that contention is ludicrous, and you were following the conversation, why did you respond to the person who challenged it rather than the one who made it?

Wow, that is really surprising. My interview at SkyWest several years ago was positive space. I flew out of MIA (on another UEX carrier), and the flight was oversold and they were looking for volunteers. They ended up having to take a couple of people off the flight. I was absolutely sure I was not going to end up on the flight, and told my girlfriend that if I didn't it was a sign that I shouldn't go to the regionals! But not only was I positive space, I think I was on a "must ride" status. Got right on. It actually made quite a positive impression on me.

All of the regionals I interviewed at last year offered PS plus Pinnacolaba did too, even the 2 regionals I interviewed at for an intern position got me PS a few years ago. Standby is lame

I interviewed with AE around 4 years ago & it was PS. I guess things have changed. Maybe you lucked out by not making it. Keep looking, I'm sure the right place is out there. Keep your head up!

XJT positive spaced when I got hired. I had a friend who got standby on RAH for an interview and couldn't make it. Called recruiters and they said they would call him for another date. Never did, even after calling him back.

I believe eagle can't PS you due to the bankruptcy contract. They are probably counting pennies just like RAH. Only difference is, RAH always pinches pennies!

Last two new-hires I flew with were offered interviews by both RAH and XJT. Both said they failed to get to the RAH interview because they were standby whereas they were PS to XJT.

They both figured that that was an indication of how those companies would treat their employees so just took the jobs with XJT.
